Question: Will 18 inch rims affect the way my car drives, if so how?

I have a VW 97 2.0 jetta 5 speed, and i bought 18 inch rims, i would like to know in what ways will this affect my car and is it major?

The steering will also react differently, due to the change in surface area/ friction.

It will affect the way the speedometer works, t will be off and not register correctly.

Hits harder and rough on suspension bearings ball-joints etc.. expect premature repairs...but looks good
